The third release on Unexpected Records back in 2003 was the ‘Expressions’ EP, by North West Metropolis. North West Metropolis was a hip-hop collective consisting of three producers (Omar Rey, Ane and myself) and three MC’s (Pete Philly, Kain Slim and CeeMajor). Being really young at the time, we made the EP on a small budget with limited resources. However, hip-hop lovers around the world were positively surprised that this stuff was coming from the Netherlands. It was also my first creative encounter with Pete Philly; eventually resulting in our duo collaboration that would go on for years after. At the time, 'Expressions' was only released physically. So now, 12 years later, we decided it deserved to be released digitally as well, via all major platforms like Spotify, iTunes, Deezer etc. A very limited amount of the EP on vinyl is available in the webshop. Enjoy!
